The European Money and Finance Forum - SUERF and the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland (CBFSAI) are pleased to inform about their forthcoming joint conference on "Regulation and Banking after the Crisis" to be held on Monday 20 September 2010 in Dublin at the Convention Centre, Spencer Dock, with a Keynote Addresses to be given by Governor Patrick Honohan of the CBFSAI and Professor David T. The Department of Research, Studies and Statistics for Labor of the French Ministries of Labor and Economy (DARES) organizes an international conference on the employment of older workers. The event will take place in Paris on Thursday, October 14, 2010. The DARES conference aims at presenting the lessons of new economic research on the employment of older workers carried out in several countries, including France. The conference will gather experts from the academic community (France, Europe and the United States) who will describe the main determinants of the employment of older workers and the most efficient instruments to promote it with regard to different reforms conducted in European countries and the U.S. The conference is organized around three thematic sessions on the respective role of: (i) employment of older workers, health, working conditions, vocational training, pension rules, labor market institutions. David Wise will deliver the keynote presentation opening the conference. David Wise is a John F. Stambaugh Professor of Political Economy, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and Area Director Health and Aging programs, National Bureau of Economic Research.
