The EUROPEAN ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION (EEA) is an international scientific body, with membership open to all persons involved or interested in economics. Individual membership of the EEA includes a subscription to the Journal of the Economic Association (JEEA). Members can submit papers to JEEA for no fee. Members also have the right to submit a paper to the EEA annual congress and attend the event.

Congress News

The EEA would like to express its gratitude to Alberto Paloni, Richard Harris, Campell Leith and Gabriel Talmain, and everybody involved at the University of Glasgow for hosting the 25th EEA Congress. A huge amount of effort went into the preparation for the congress and the dividends from this were plain for all to see. The EEA extends this gratitude to Orazio Attanasio, Joe Stiglitz and Esther Duflo, and to all those who took part and contributed to the success of the Congress. The joint congress of the EEA (26th Congress) and the European Meeting of the Econometric Society (65th Meeting) will take place at the University of Oslo, Norway from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 August 2011. Members will be able to submit papers from November 1 onwards. More details will follow shortly
